In 2020 the Government of Canada, through Environment and Climate Change Canada and National Resources Canada, has been participating in the Knowledge Exchange for Climate Adaptation Platforms (KE4CAP) with partners from the European Union. As part of this partnership, the Government of Canada is hosting the Canadian Knowledge Exchange Event, which includes four 2.5 hour workshops from May 11th-20th, 2021.

This event is intended to spur dialogue amongst the domestic and international climate adaptation community, and will provide opportunities for collaboration and knowledge-sharing, and will convene experts to better understand the Canadian platform landscape, explore opportunities to connect and expand our ‘network of networks’, develop better services for platform users, and discuss best practices and lessons learned for developing adaptation strategies

Event Offerings:

  • May 11, 2021 (10am EDT): National Adaptation Strategies: Lessons Learned from the International Adaptation Community
    • This session is for an international audience. Domestic engagement on the Canadian National Adaptation Strategy will follow later in May.
  • May 13, 2021 (10am EDT): A diversity of Needs, A diversity of platforms: Linking Platforms to Facilitate Users’ Adaptation Journeys
