The Climate and Agriculture Initiative BC has just released new resources to help farmers become more resilient to wildfire and manage fuels on-farm to mitigate intrusion into wild lands.

With wildfires already breaking out across the province, discover the Wildfire Guide and Workbook to find immediate actions that can be taken on farms.

Manage fuel in the agricultural-wildland interface
Wildfire threats are best reduced with preventative management, and projects in the Cariboo and Bulkley-Nechako & Fraser-Fort George regions have assessed three sites on their potential for economically feasible fuel treatment.
*New Project* Improve communication between regional districts and agricultural residents
New projects are being undertaken in the Okanagan and Kootenay & Boundary regions to support between local and regional governments and agricultural residents outside of wildfire season and during emergencies.
