On June 26th 2012, Thomas White, Manager of Science and Adaptation with the Climate Change Action Secretariat in the B.C. Ministry of Environment, gave a webinar on “Recent Progress Implementing B.C.’s Adaptation Strategy”.  A recording of this webinar is now available online. You can also access this recording via the CoP Webinar page, where you will also find a PDF copy of the PowerPoint presentation.

Making Progress on B.C.’s Climate Action Plan (PDF) (BC 2012) – This report details the B.C. government’s progress to reduce greenhouse gas emissions and includes a section on adapting to climate change.  The report provides a concise summary of BC government initiatives since the Adaptation Strategy was released in 2010.

Reality Check: The State of Climate Progress in Canada (PDF) (NRT 2012) – This new report by the National Round Table on the Environment and the Economy, requested by the federal Minister of the Environment, reminds us of how far the country has come, but also of how far it must go. It serves as a reality check on the state of climate progress in Canada today.

Comprehensive Climate Action: An Adaptation Guidebook (PDF) (CCS 2012) – The US Center for Climate Strategies (CCS) Adaptation Guidebook details a methodology for developing and implementing an adaptation strategy at the multi-state, state/province, regional, or local levels. Several resource tools are included in the Guidebook.
