EcoCanada has opened applications for their ECO Employment Training and Wage Subsidies for Environmental Jobs. The subsidies can be applied for through several different streams, including digital skill development, STEAM & business, natural resources, and STEM.

Funding is primarily targeted to employers hiring students or new graduates, with up to 80% of wages and training costs covered by EcoCanada. In some cases, additional funding is available for the hiring of underrepresented groups.

To date, this program has distributed over $90 million in wage and training subsidies and has helped to fill over 10,000 job placements.
