ACT Executive Director Deborah Harford will serve as moderator for the upcoming forum, Resilient Communities: Preparing for the Climate Challenge, the theme of this year’s annual event produced by the Pacific Institute for Climate Solutions (PICS).

The Resilient Communities forum will bring together experts, practitioners and decision-makers from BC, Canada, the UK and Australia. Participants will learn about the latest climate change projections for BC and where to find information to guide adaptation decisions while considering emissions reductions. Selected case studies will demonstrate how communities and the agricultural sector are beginning to respond on adaptation and food security. The forum will provide opportunities for participants to discuss the issues, question the experts and provide input to government and researchers.

The event will run June 14 – 15, 2011 at the Morris J. Wosk Centre for Dialogue in Vancouver BC. For more information and registration, visit PICS.
