It will also provide an introduction to resources available for planning and preparation, and the necessary steps to create a custom Farm/Ranch Wildfire Plan.

Workshop B (April 27th, 12:00pm – 1:30pm PST) will cover key considerations for risk reduction on agricultural properties, such as reducing combustibles, using fire resistant materials, and planning for sprinkler protection, including best practices unique to agriculture. The workshop will also cover livestock protection planning, employee and visitor evacuation planning, safety and legal considerations when burning, and insurance considerations, damage assessment, and recovery following a wildfire.
