Through the Canadian Centre for Climate Services (CCCS), the Government of Canada is calling for proposals to select a regional climate expert for Atlantic Canada, and have developed a competitive selection process.

The CCCS provides leadership in co-delivery of climate services across Canada and coordinates a national network of regional climate expert organizations.  These regional organizations deliver local services, provide regional climate information, data and tools, and provide training and support.

Successful applicants will receive $1.648 million over a period of three years, with available potential for extension of funds.

Applications are open to:

  • NGOs/not-for-profit organizations
  • Existing climate consortia
  • Indigenous governments and organizations
  • Academic institutions

The CCCS will be hosting a webinar on Thursday, December 10th, from 2:00 pm-3:30 pm AST to answer questions from potential applicants. The Zoom link for this information session can be found here.
