Presentation highlighted the importance of low carbon resilience (LCR) and showcased communities that are successfully using LCR clean technologies to become more resilient to extreme weather events.

On June 26th, 2020, the Commission for Environmental Cooperation hosted its 27th Annual Council Session and Joint Public Advisory Forum. The session brought together North America’s three Ministers of Environment for a dialogue with the public on how clean technology is supporting community resilience across the region.

ACT’s Executive Director, Deborah Harford, had the honour of presenting at this Council on low carbon resilience, in front of an audience that included Jonathan Wilkinson, Canada’s Minister of Environment and Climate Change; Andrew Wheeler, United States Environmental Protection Agency Administrator; and a representative on behalf of Víctor Manuel Toledo, Mexico’s Secretary of Environment and Natural Resources,
