Webinar: Community Adaptation to Climate Change in Prince George

On Wednesday, August 15th 2012 from 1-2pm EDT, Ian Picketts, PhD candidate at the University of Northern BC and Dave Dyer, Manager of Utilities for the City of Prince George, will be presenting ‘Community Adaptation to Climate Change in Prince George, British Columbia’.

Ian and Dave will talk about the impacts of climate change in Prince George, the circumstances leading to increased local awareness, and the creation and implementation of a community adaptation strategy. Key adaptation priorities in Prince George include forests, flooding, and transportation infrastructure.  Through continued funding from Natural Resources Canada, Prince George was able to incorporate adaptation into community plans and continue exploring how to address impacts locally.
